Malware is the overall name and can be split into:

• Ransomware - his software makes your computer useless
• Adware - Collects data from your computer and presents personalized ad. Like browser startseite geändert.
• Spyware - Just spys on you and sells the data to others. (Like where you browse, what you like, creditcard info)
• Trojan - Is telling you it is a normal piece of software
