PARA Communication Framework
The PARA method is a simple framework for structured, engaging conversations. It keeps you focused and invites the other person to participate.
The four steps
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| Point | Clearly state your main idea or the point you want to make. |
| Action | Explain what action you took based on that point or situation. |
| Result | Describe the outcome or impact of that action. |
| Ask | Pose a question to encourage the other person to share their perspective. |
Example
Point: “I’ve been realizing how important rest is for productivity.”
Action: “So, I started taking my weekends completely off to recharge.”
Result: “My work quality has improved significantly, and I have more energy during the week.”
Ask: “How do you manage your own rest and productivity?”
